City of Child targets the most vulnerable children from Deep Griha's child sponsorship program. All of the children are orphans or come from single-parent or foster families. Located about 30 miles outside of Pune, City of Child is far removed from the cramped and noisy streets of the city's slums. It is a serene place, full of lush green trees and the sound of chirping birds.

Children enrolled in the City of Child program are provided with:

  • Three balanced meals per day
  • Enrollment at local schools, school materials, and help with homework
  • Recreation facilities with a playground, games, and a cricket field
  • Medical care
