The City of Child initiative helps children living in high risk circumstances to live in a safe and secure environment. It provides additional support to children enrolled in the Aadhar Kendra Sponsorship Program who are the most vulnerable. Working with fieldworkers and families (when available) these children are offered housing in Deep Griha’s City of Child Residential setting on the outskirts of Pune. Most have either lost both parents or come from single-parent families facing very difficult circumstances. A more stable environment and additional supports allows them to better reach their full potential.

Children at the City of Child receive:

• Secure accommodation away from challenging environments
• Enrollment in local schools or Deep Griha Academy depending on child and family preference
  
• Nutritious meals
