Recognizing that training alone isn’t enough, Deep Griha provides resource management and marketing support to help women generate steady earnings individually and collectively. From a thriving affordable meals program to computer and sewing initiatives that enhance employability, ASIMIT creates pathways for economic independence while meeting local needs.
One of ASIMIT’s key initiatives is an affordable meals program, now producing over 4,000 tiffins* monthly. Women prepare meals for Deep Griha’s programs, cater events, and fulfill lunchbox orders—growing from 30 to 1,500 per month. This steady demand provides reliable income while addressing local nutrition needs.

At the Tadiwala Road Center, ASIMIT offers computer training, equipping women with essential skills in MS Office and Google applications. Over 100 women have benefited, improving their job prospects. While temporarily paused for equipment upgrades, the program remains a valuable pathway to professional opportunities.
A sewing initiative at the Ramtekadi Center is also underway, bringing together women to create and sell items like quilts, baby kits, and cloth bags. By blending traditional skills with new business opportunities, ASIMIT helps women build sustainable incomes.

Through skill development, income generation, and ongoing support, ASIMIT ensures that women from the community have the tools they need for lasting financial independence.

*Tiffin is a South Asian English word for a type of meal. It refers to a light breakfast or a light tea-time meal at about 3 p.m., consisting of typical tea-time foods. In certain parts of India, it can also refer to the midday luncheon or, in some regions of the Indian subcontinent, a between-meal snack. (Wikipedia)
